Completed in 14 months, the project comprised the construction of a 431,000 Square Foot medical college, utilizing a reinforced concrete structure, in addition to 4 structural steel lecture halls. Specifications required the use of U.S. materials based on the architect’s design. The Building included classrooms, public areas, food service, library, administrative areas, support facilities, and four innovative lecture halls. The project included full site utility distribution systems and site/landscaping elements. Recognized for design excellence, the project was designed by the firm of Perkins and Wills, a noted Chicago firm with expertise in the design of higher education facilities.
